Three Days of Learning and Networking: Project Management and EU Programmes in Ston
From March 12 to 14, 2025, a three-day educational event dedicated to project management and European Union programmes was held in the impressive setting of Kaštio Fortress in Ston.
The event was jointly organized by the Creative Europe Desk – Culture at the Ministry of Culture and Media and the National Contact Point for the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme at the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, in collaboration with the Ston Development Agency – RAST.
On the first day, through the workshop “Project Cycle Management and Project Proposal Preparation,” participants had the opportunity to learn about the key steps of project management in detail, work on practical exercises, and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of horizontal issues and possibilities for co-financing projects from international sources.
The second day focused on the Creative Europe and CERV programmes. The workshop “EU Programmes CERV and Creative Europe – From Idea to Application” introduced participants to funding opportunities, the application process via the Funding and Tenders Portal, and examples of good practices. Working in smaller groups enabled participants to further develop their own project ideas with expert feedback.
The third day was reserved for individual consultations, during which participants had the opportunity to elaborate on their project proposals in greater detail with the support of the workshop leaders.
The workshops were led by Željka Markulin from the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Anera Stopfer from the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, who enriched the programme with their expertise and experience.
The strong turnout and active engagement of the participants confirmed the need for such educational events that combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The beautiful surroundings of Ston further contributed to the positive atmosphere throughout the event.
We would like to thank all participants for attending, with special thanks to Konoba Baća for the excellent organization of the breaks and lunches!
